Global Youth Summit 2023 Unites Youth Leaders Across the Philippines

In a historic and inspiring event that spanned four weekends, the Global Youth Summit 2023 (#GYS2023) successfully concluded in Baguio City. This groundbreaking initiative brought together 6,850 young leaders from all corners of the Philippines, spanning the major islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The summit, commencing in Manila on August 11th and journeying through Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo, ignited a powerful spark of inspiration and collaboration, leaving a lasting impact on the nation.

August 11, 2023 – Manila

The journey of #GYS2023 began in Manila, where the opening ceremony witnessed electrifying performances, impassioned speeches by prominent leaders, and the heartwarming presence of thousands of young delegates. Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and skill-building sessions, spanning a wide array of topics, including environmental conservation and social entrepreneurship. The sense of unity and purpose was palpable, as young minds from diverse backgrounds came together to learn, share, and inspire.

August 19, 2023 – Cagayan de Oro

The summit’s second leg took place in Cagayan de Oro, showing its commitment to reach all major islands of the Philippines. Discussions focused on regional challenges and solutions, emphasizing the importance of inclusive leadership. Youth leaders in Mindanao inspire with community projects, highlighting potential for positive change.

August 26, 2023 – Iloilo

Iloilo, in the Visayas region, served as the third stop on the #GYS2023 journey. The focus here was on nurturing collaboration and fostering relationships among the diverse group of participants. The summit’s message of unity resonated deeply as the youth leaders began to form bonds that transcended geographical boundaries.

September 2, 2023 – Baguio

The final stop of the Global Youth Summit 2023 was the city of Baguio, nestled high in the mountains of Luzon. It was a day of reflection, celebration, and planning for the future. The closing ceremony featured powerful speeches from both young leaders and seasoned experts, emphasizing the role of resilience in leadership. Delegates presented their commitments to drive positive change in their respective communities.
