CHED Region 1 and Global Peace Foundation Philippines Ink Historic Memorandum of Agreement

DAGUPAN CITY, PANGASINAN – November 17, 2023 – In a historic event held at the University of Luzon, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 1 and the Global Peace Foundation Philippines (GPF Philippines) formalized their commitment to fostering peacebuilding initiatives in the region through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony.

The event, which took place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, saw the participation of key figures from both
CHED Region 1 and GPF Philippines. The distinguished attendees included:
1. Dir. Angel S. Reyna, Jr. – Internal Relations Officer, University of Luzon
2. Dr. Florida C. Labuguen – GPF Philippines Trustee
3. Aldrin L. Nituma- President of GPF Philippines
4. Ingil Ra- Regional President, GPF Asia Pacific
5. Dr. Christine N. Ferrer – Regional Director, CHED Region 1
6. Dr. Aurora M. Samson-Reyna – Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Luzon

The MOA signing marks a significant step toward establishing local and regional partnerships for peacebuilding. The collaboration aims to harness the collective efforts of academic institutions in Region 1 to contribute to the promotion of peace and understanding.
