Parañaque City College (PCC) has officially expressed its support for the One Korea Global Campaign for the Peaceful Reunification of South and North Korea on April 19, 2024, at the PCC Audio-Visual Room (AVR).
The AVR was packed with 120 enthusiastic participants, including students, professors, and administrators of the College. They eagerly engaged in the lecture delivered by Mr. Ingill Ra, the Regional Representative of the Global Peace Foundation Asia Pacific. Mr. Ra’s talk about “THE KOREAN DREAM: A VISION FOR A UNIFIED KOREA” struck a chord with everyone present, sparking heartfelt discussions.
One touching moment during the talk was when Mr. Ra thanked the Philippines for its support during the Korean War. He highlighted the bravery of over 7,000 Filipino soldiers who fought alongside Korea. His words emphasized the strong bond between the two countries, both historically and culturally.
In a significant move, PCC cemented its commitment to advancing values-based peace-building initiatives by signing a formal agreement with the Global Peace Foundation Philippines. Dr. Alejandro B. Magnaye, the college’s administrator, emphasized PCC’s dedication to supporting these initiatives of GPF for national transformation and a new civilization of peace.
PCC’s enthusiastic support for the Korean Dream adds it to the list of academic institutions vocally expressing their solidarity. This move reaffirms our shared determination to strive for harmony and a better future for all.
