DAVAO DEL NORTE—Last September 11, in conjunction with the FISHTA 2019 (Festival of Fishermen of Coastal Barangays of Tagum City), the Rotary Clubs and Global Peace Foundation Philippines awarded 30 motorized fishing boats with complete accessories and 30 solar lamps to 30 members of Fisherfolks Association of Tagum City All-Lights Village (FATCAV) held in Brgy. Liboganon, Tagum City.
The event was attended by by seventeen officials from Rotary Club led by Rotary Club of Makati EDSA, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Office of the City Agriculturist of the City Government of Tagum and the Global Peace Foundation.
A signing of Deed of Donation and Deed of Assignment took place before the turnover of the fishing boats, its accessories, and solar lamps.
A boat-racing competition concluded the event.
