Prosperity in Diversity: A Global Approach to Peacebuilding

Global Peace Foundation will host the Global Peace Festival 2022 from December 1 to 3 in Clark Global City, Pampanga with the theme, “One Family Under God: A Vision for a World of Freedom and Peace.”

The event will gather thousands of Global Peace Advocates from all over the world to provide them a platform for exchanging best practices and building multi-sector collaborations to promote long-term peace and development.

The Philippine national motto will be highlighted at the event: Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa (For God, People, Nature, and Country). The phrase has been seen as expressing a collection of four essential Filipino principles, each of which is linked to the others.

“It is exactly in times of uncertainty, that a clear vision is needed to provide solutions to the many vexing problems of our age,” Dr. Hyun Jin Preston Moon, Chairman of the Global Peace Foundation, shares in a speech.

The event on Dec 1 to 3 will feature three major programs: the Service Learning Program, Global Peace Leadership Conference, and the Global Peace Festival.

First, the Service-Learning Program focuses primarily on young people and addresses local issues in celebration of International Volunteers’ Day through simultaneous service project missions by women and the youth.

Next, the Global Peace Leadership Conference is a high-level strategic event that aims to build networks of key leaders and address critical issues in Education, Women, Corporate Social Responsibility, Religious Freedom, Peace & Security, and Media.

It is also proud of its revolutionary values-based approach to improving the economy, education, security, leadership at all levels of society, youth productivity, and women’s empowerment, as well as addressing pressing community development needs.

And lastly, the Global Peace Festival. It is a highlight event which inspires, motivates and activates a global network of people to work together to realize the dream of One Family Under God. The famous KPop co-ed group K.A.R.D, PPop Girl Group BINI and the Filipino Autotelic will perform live and free of charge during the peace concert.

The main organizer, Global Peace Foundation (GPF), is an international non-sectarian, non-partisan, nonprofit organization established in 2009, who promotes an innovative, values-based approach for promoting peace that is motivated by the idea of “One Family under God.”

GPF creates a global network of public and private sector partners to develop community, national, and regional peace-building models that serve as the cornerstone for moral and cohesive societies,

In over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, GPF collaborates with a global network of public and private sector partners to transform education, support youth leadership, strengthen community-based development initiatives, and promote a culture of service and volunteerism.

“We are deeply engaged in peace-building, especially in community development,” says Executive Director Aldrin Nituma, “one example is our Service Learning Program, which focuses on young people and provides opportunities for experiential learning which can cultivate leadership and good character.”

The Global Peace Festival was first launched in the Philippines in 2007. It served as an avenue for thousands of peace-loving people who shared a common vision: “One family under God” to gather and celebrate peace and diversity.

The event was officially launched on November 23, 2022, at the Marriott Hotel in Clark, Pampanga, by media partners as well as community, private, and local government partners who support Global Peace Foundation’s initiatives in ensuring that every community has the opportunity to become better and more sustainable.
