GlobALS continues to empower partners through capability trainings

In its aim to shape minds toward social transformation, Global Peace Foundation Philippines’ (GPFP) GlobALS continue to empower its stakeholders through capability-building trainings.

Eight Alternative Learning System (ALS) Instructional Managers (IM) and two District ALS Coordinators (DALC) attended the leadership seminar conducted by GlobALS Program Director Ann Montejo-Arevalo in Carmen Alternative Learning Center last September 14, 2013.

Arevalo shared effective leadership traits and qualities to the participants. She stressed that everyone is a leader and one’s leadership skill needs to be unleashed. Arevalo added that a leader has to think about the common and greater good.

The training aims to capacitate participants to effectively implement ALS and other programs in their communities. Its module includes values formation that runs under the GPF vision: One Family under God.

Lourdes Navarro, ALS Education Program Supervisor (EPS) said, the initiative is a unique approach. Navarro who has been a long partner of GPFP added that the trainings made her a better person and a better administrator.
