Global Peace Women Leadership Conference between Philippines and Korea



















On September 24th the first Global Peace Women Leadership Conference between Philippines and Korea kicked off at the Yein Hall, Sejong Center, Seoul, Korea. The conference, hosted by Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Korea and co-organized by Service For Peace Korea, welcomed 35 women leaders of Global Peace Women (GPW) Philippines and 15 women leaders of GPW Korea.

















The 3-day conference, with the theme, “Women’s Leadership in Social Transformation through Family Values,” aims to: (1) enable women to make unique contributions to peacebuilding starting from their natural roles in the family as daughters, sisters, wives, and mothers; and (2) coupled with moral and innovative leadership, empower women to resolve critical global issues revolving around family and women’s rights in a rapidly changing world.
The first day of the conference included the Opening Ceremony, Plenary and Concurrent Sessions, and Sisterhood Ceremony.
