The Global Peace Foundation Philippines and Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation will host the 2nd Safe Space Summit in the Philippines, with the theme “From Safe Spaces to Brave Spaces” encouraging discourse in an unbiased, non-aggressive and respectful environment where everyone can express themselves and help one another grow to their full potential while cultivating a culture of active participation.
The said event will take place on March 24-25, 2022. The conference will be held via On24 Zoom and Facebook. Young safe spaces advocates, student leaders, young professionals, and leaders from civil society, educational institutions, and government will gather at the Safe Spaces Summit. The summit will also feature a short film competition in which the youth will demonstrate how safe spaces can be incorporated in various aspects of their lives (Conversation, in schools, in their Community, and in Accepting Diversity) The two-day summit will include a series of keynotes and panel discussions that will allow attendees to interact and learn from the panel of experts. We believe that by selecting a list of guest speakers that are experienced and come from a diverse background, we are opening an opportunity for a wider perspective that can allow the listeners to take and engage with the topics even more.
This year’s summit is supported by the Department of Education, Department of Education International Cooperation Office, Unilever and ANC our official media partner.
Student leaders, young professionals, civic society, educational institutions, and government officials who are passionate about building safe spaces for everybody are all welcome in joining this year’s event. You can register at https://bit.ly/SafeSpacesSummit2022
